Rev. Nathan Wittman

Pastor Nathan Wittman is the son of a Methodist minister and married to a Methodist minister. He has been in ministry for 13 years, and he and his wife, Laura, have three sons: Cameron, Allen, and Ezra. Nathan is a graduate of East Carolina University and Duke Divinity School and was ordained as an Elder of the United Methodist Church in 2011. Preaching is what gives him life in ministry, and he has a love of forming small groups within the church that focus on faith sharing and accountability for our growth in Christ.

​Nathan is a big fan of Duke basketball and is a self-proclaimed "nerd", enjoying Star Wars, comics, fantasy books, video games, and trips to the movies with the family. Nathan is also a big fan of finding connections between those popular stories and the vital theology that motivates us as Christians. So you might hear how his favorite quote from "Lord of the Rings" fits with lessons from the Bible!

Rev. Savanna Becker

Savanna began her journey at Englewood UMC in October 2014. She received her undergraduate degrees in Religion and Mass Communications from Emory & Henry College (Go Wasps!), and went on to earn a Master of Divinity with a Concentration in Christian Education from Duke Divinity School. As Minister of Christian Education, Savanna hopes to provide a formative and nurturing faith experience that is also fun and interactive. She enjoys preparing and leading lessons for the youth and children, and loves getting involved in service projects. 

In 2015, Savanna married her high school sweetheart, and they have two adorable four-legged children: a mischievous cat and a very enthusiastic dog. In her spare time, Savanna enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching her favorite TV shows.

Christian Davenport

Christian has been with Englewood UMC since April 2006 as our Office Administrator.  Christian and her husband, Wayne have been blessed with 3 wonderful children (and 3 dogs and 2 cats).   She enjoys spending time with her family, whether in the mountains, at the beach, or just having quality time at home.  Christian graduated from Nash Community College with a Associate Degree in Accounting and Business Administration in 1995. 

Nancy Porter

Nancy is the first and friendliest face you see when you enter the church office. She has been enjoying being a part-time secretary at EUMC since February 2001.  She is a retiree from Hardee's Food Systems, Inc. and First Union National Bank.  Nancy has three children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
